Services Available to Residents and Property Owners Within the District

Residents and property owners of the District receive municipal services from the City of Castle Pines. Police protection is provided by the Douglas County Sheriff, and fire protection is provided by South Metro Fire Rescue Authority. Natural gas service is provided by Black Hills Energy and electric service is provided by Intermountain Rural Electric Association. Water and sanitary sewer service is provided by Parker Water and Sanitation District. District residents are located within the Douglas County School District RE-1.

Recycling rules don’t change during the holidays despite the myriad of seasonal items we may have to dispose of. Keep recycling clean and simple. Only recycle clean cardboard (flattened), paper (plain), and metal food and beverage cans (empty), and only recycle plastics shaped like bottles, jugs, jars, or tubs. For the crafty and creative, reusing materials you have around the house to create eco-friendlier holiday decorations is one step towards reducing waste.
